Job Summary
The Senior Test Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through the development of comprehensive test plans. This position collaborates closely with project stakeholders to define testing scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project requirements and strategic objectives. The Senior Test Lead is responsible for enhancing testing methodologies and driving best practices that significantly improve testing efficiency and effectiveness within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Participate In Functional And Technical Discussions With Clients And Team Members To Understand Functional And Design Specifications, Identify Performance Concerns, And Ensure That Appropriate Test Environments And Infrastructures Are Established And Maintained Using Tools Such As Jira And Selenium.
2. Identify Opportunities For Process Improvement In Testing Methodologies And Tools, Implementing Best Practices In Functional Testing To Enhance Both Efficiency And Effectiveness Across Projects.
3. Oversee The Creation And Execution Of Functional Test Cases And Automated Test Scripts Using Selenium And Junit, Ensuring Adherence To Quality Standards And Minimizing The Risk Of Defects In Production.
4. Develop And Mentor Qa Engineers In The Use Of The Testing Framework And Best Practices In Functional Testing, Enhancing Their Technical Capabilities And Increasing Team Productivity.
Skill Requirements
Must have skills
Role Specific Experience: 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
Strong understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and methodologies.
Handle QA testing including writing and maintaining Playwright tests, unit/integration tests, and bug validation.
Conducting bug analysis, root cause reporting, performance/security testing, support new tools, frameworks, and AI-based test enhancements
Prepare test plans, track coverage, manage snapshots , and support pipelines, quality gates, and test setup.
Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
Keeping abreast of the latest testing tools, technologies, and methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and propose solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Other Requirements
1. Optional But Valuable Certifications Include Istqb Certified Tester (Advanced Level) And Certified Software Test Professional (Cstp).
