Key responsibilities may include:
- Desktop Support:
- Installing and configuring operating systems and applications on user desktops
- Troubleshooting hardware issues like malfunctioning peripherals, display problems, and system crashes
- Managing software updates and patching
- Assisting with new employee workstation setup
- Providing technical support to users regarding software applications
- Network Support:
- Monitoring network performance and identifying potential issues
- Troubleshooting network connectivity problems like slow speeds, connection drops, and access issues
- Managing network security by implementing and maintaining firewalls and access controls
- Configuring network devices like routers and switches
- Maintaining network documentation and diagrams
- General Support:
- Responding to user support tickets and requests
- Performing remote troubleshooting using remote desktop tools
