Job Summary
The Junior Accountant is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day accounting and financial activities of the school. The role includes maintaining financial records, processing fee receipts, handling vouchers, supporting payroll and bank-related work, and ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with school policies and accounting procedures.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Maintain daily accounts and financial records of the school.
- Prepare and enter receipts, payments, vouchers, and journal entries.
- Assist in collection and recording of school fees and other charges.
- Reconcile cash, bank statements, and ledger accounts regularly.
- Maintain proper filing of bills, invoices, fee records, and supporting documents.
- Assist in preparation of salary sheets and payroll-related records.
- Support preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Monitor pending fee dues and assist in follow-up with parents, if required.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide required documents during audits.
- Ensure compliance with school financial policies and statutory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
Required Qualifications:-
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (such as Tally ERP, Busy, or other school accounting software).

- Ability to maintain records systematically.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data.
Experience:-
- 0–2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Freshers with good accounting knowledge may also be considered.
Working Conditions:-
- School office environment.
- May require additional support during fee collection periods, salary processing, audits, or financial closing.
Performance Indicators:-
- Accuracy of accounting entries.
- Timely updating of fee and financial records.
- Proper maintenance of vouchers and documents.
- Timely completion of reconciliations and reports.
- Compliance with financial procedures and deadlines.
Pay: ₹20,763.76 - ₹26,785.05 per month
