Job Summary
Yashodeep Knowledge Hub is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Department (HOD) – Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI & ML) to lead the department with academic excellence, innovation, and strong administrative capabilities. The ideal candidate should have extensive teaching experience, leadership skills, and thorough knowledge of AICTE, UGC, and university regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Computer Science and AI & ML Department.
- Plan and implement academic activities in accordance with AICTE and university guidelines.
- Supervise faculty performance, student mentoring, and curriculum delivery.
- Ensure compliance with AICTE, NAAC, NBA, and other statutory requirements.
- Promote research, innovation, publications, patents, and funded projects.
- Develop industry collaborations, internships, and placement initiatives.
- Coordinate accreditation processes, departmental audits, and documentation.
- Organize faculty development programs, workshops, seminars, and conferences.
- Prepare departmental budgets, timetables, workload distribution, and academic reports.
- Foster a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
- M.E./M.Tech. in a relevant specialization with an excellent academic record.
- Minimum 5–10 years of teaching experience, including 3–5 years in an academic leadership role such as HOD or equivalent.
- Must meet AICTE/UGC/University norms for the position.
Preferred Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of AICTE, NAAC, NBA, and accreditation processes.
- Expertise in curriculum planning and outcome-based education (OBE).
- Research publications in reputed journals and conferences.
- Experience in handling university inspections and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
