Role Summary
Lead and supervise manual Heavy fabrication operations, ensuring safe and efficient utilization of Man, Machine and Material to achieve production, quality and delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day manual fabrication activities including fit-up, welding, grinding and assembly.
- Manage welders, fitters, fabricators and helpers; allocate manpower based on production priorities.
- Ensure production as per drawings, WPS, quality standards and planned schedules.
- Monitor manpower productivity, machine utilization and material consumption.
- Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Engineering, Stores and Maintenance.
- Identify and reduce welding defects, rework, rejection and material wastage.
- Drive 5S, Kaizen, Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE and safe lifting/welding practices.
- Troubleshoot shop-floor technical and production issues.
- Track key KPIs including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost.
Desired Skills
- Strong knowledge of heavy structural fabrication ,Understanding of fabrication drawings, GA drawings and part drawings
- Knowledge in Welding symbols, weld sizes and weld sequence
- Bottleneck identification and corrective action
- Knowledge of WPS/PQR and welding quality requirements.
- Strong manpower and shop-floor management skills.
- Fixture/template development, Fabrication process improvement
- Ability to analyse welding and fabrication cycle time
- Experience in heavy engineering / mining / construction equipment / crusher / screening / conveyor manufacturing preferred.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
