Job Title: ETP Supervisor-cum-Chemist
Department: Environment / Utilities / ETP
Qualifications: B.Sc./ Diploma/ B.E in Chemistry, Environmental Science or a relevant discipline
CTC : Max. 35000/- Per Month
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and supervise day-to-day ETP activities and treatment processes.
- Monitor ETP parameters such as pH, COD, BOD, TSS, DO, MLSS, ammonia, and other relevant parameters.
- Conduct routine chemical analysis of inlet, process, and treated effluent.
- Prepare and dose chemicals such as coagulants, flocculants, acids/alkalis, nutrients, and disinfectants as required.
- Optimize chemical dosing and treatment processes to maintain consistent effluent quality.
- Monitor pumps, agitators, blowers, clarifiers, filter systems, dosing systems, and other ETP equipment.
- Maintain daily operational logs, laboratory records, chemical consumption records, sludge records, and equipment checklists.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor sludge generation, dewatering, storage, and disposal as per applicable requirements.
- Ensure treated wastewater is within prescribed discharge/reuse limits.
- Support sampling and testing by external laboratories and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain environmental compliance documentation and assist during inspections/audits.
- Follow workplace safety, PPE, chemical handling, and emergency-response procedures.
- Train and supervise ETP operators and helpers.
- Assist in preparing reports for management and environmental compliance submissions.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma/B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in ETP operation, wastewater treatment, or industrial water-quality analysis is preferred.
- Good knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and laboratory testing methods.
- Knowledge of chemical handling and basic ETP equipment operation.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining records and reports.
