Role Overview:
As a Commis Chef, you will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of a variety of dishes to the highest standards. Working as part of a dynamic kitchen team, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the culinary department, ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation and Cooking:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Ensure dishes are prepared according to the recipes and standards set by the head chef.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
- Hygiene and Safety:
- Follow all health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Ensure that workstations and kitchen equipment are cleaned and maintained.
- Adhere to food hygiene and storage practices.
- Support Senior Chefs:
- Assist the Executive Chef and other senior chefs in daily operations.
- Take on tasks such as chopping, peeling, marinating, and seasoning.
- Learn new recipes and techniques as guided by senior chefs.
- Inventory and Supplies:
- Assist in checking stock levels and informing senior staff of shortages.
- Help with the proper storage and labelling of ingredients.
- Teamwork and Communication:
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background: Diploma or certificate in culinary arts or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Commis Chef or trainee in a professional kitchen (preferred).
- Skills:
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
