Welcome to Natus Sensory India
We are continuing to grow our business in India and are now looking to expand our team there. Be part of this exciting journey right from the start!
Natus Sensory India are a leading manufacturer of medical devices and software for a range of solutions, including eight sensory nervous systems. Our mission is to improve patient outcomes in target markets through innovative screening, diagnostic and treatment solutions. We manufacture and distribute a range of medical device products used in the diagnosis of human disorders of sensory system and neural pathways.
SUMMARY:
Natus Sensory is seeking a Salesforce Architect to own the end-to-end architecture, design, and technical governance of our Salesforce platform. This role is responsible for translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and CPQ, along with integration touchpoints across our broader enterprise systems, including our ERP platform.
This is not a design-only role: the Architect is also expected to personally implement enhancements and serve as the top-tier escalation point when issues arise, rolling up their sleeves to resolve urgent production, integration, and CPQ problems directly. The ideal candidate has deep, hands-on architecture experience across the full Salesforce platform lifecycle -- from data model and security design through integration architecture, hands-on build, and release governance -- and can operate independently as the primary technical authority for Salesforce within the organization. This person will partner closely with the business-side Salesforce admin team, the broader IT organization, and the Natus Neuro IT team (TSA partner) on shared systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Salesforce Platform Architecture & Strategy (25%)
- Own the overall Salesforce architecture strategy, including org structure, data model, sharing/security model, and platform scalability roadmap
- Translate business requirements from Sales, Service, and Operations stakeholders into scalable, well-governed technical designs
- Define and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices across Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative automation (Flow)
- Evaluate new Salesforce releases, features, and AppExchange products; recommend adoption where it advances the roadmap
- Lead architectural review of major enhancements, custom development, and third-party package implementations
- Maintain a multi-year Salesforce technical roadmap aligned with business strategy
Integration Architecture (20%)
- Design and govern integration architecture between Salesforce and enterprise systems, including ERP (Oracle EBS or similar), Microsoft 365, and other business systems
- Architect and oversee middleware/integration platform usage (MuleSoft or comparable iPaaS) for real-time and batch integrations
- Define API strategy, data synchronization patterns, and error-handling/monitoring standards across integrations
- Partner with ERP, data, and infrastructure teams to ensure integration reliability and data integrity across systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex, cross-system integration issues
Enhancement Implementation & Hands-On Development (15%)
- Personally build and deploy approved enhancements -- including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow automation, and configuration -- rather than handing designs off exclusively to others
- Own delivery of enhancement projects end-to-end: requirements, build, testing, and release, balancing scope, quality, and timeline
- Partner with the business-side Salesforce admin team to convert approved designs into working, tested solutions in the org
- Write and maintain clean, well-documented, testable code and configuration that other admins/developers can support
CPQ & Quote-to-Cash Architecture (10%)
- Architect and maintain Salesforce CPQ configuration, including product catalog, pricing rules, approval workflows, and quote templates
- Design quote-to-cash process flows in partnership with Sales Operations and Finance
- Ensure CPQ architecture scales with evolving product lines, pricing models, and channel strategies
- Troubleshoot CPQ configuration issues and guide the business admin team on best practices
Data Architecture, Security & Governance (15%)
- Design and maintain the Salesforce data model, including object relationships, record types, and data lifecycle management
- Define and enforce security architecture: profiles, permission sets, role hierarchy, sharing rules, and field-level security
- Establish data governance standards, including deduplication, data quality rules, and archiving/retention policies
- Support compliance and audit activities related to Salesforce access, data handling, and change management
- Administer and govern DevOps/release management tooling (e.g., Salesforce DX, Gearset, Copado, or similar) and sandbox strategy
Production Support & Escalations (10%)
- Serve as the top-tier escalation point for complex Salesforce, integration, and CPQ issues that the business admin team cannot resolve
- Roll up sleeves to directly troubleshoot and resolve urgent, business-impacting production issues rather than deferring to others
- Triage and drive resolution of production incidents, coordinating with IT and business stakeholders as needed
- Maintain and improve runbooks and troubleshooting documentation based on recurring escalations
- Be responsive and available for critical, time-sensitive support needs outside of standard change requests
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management (5%)
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all Salesforce architecture decisions
- Liaise with the Natus Neuro IT team (TSA partner) on shared Salesforce systems, integrations, and escalated issues
- Mentor administrators and junior developers on platform best practices
- Communicate technical roadmaps, trade-offs, and risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders and leadership
Travel Required: Minimal; occasional travel for planning sessions or team meetings may be requested.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to personally build and deploy enhancements, not just design and hand off to others
- 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including 3+ years in an architect-level role
- Demonstrated experience architecting solutions across Sales Cloud and Revenue Cloud
- Hands-on experience architecting and supporting Salesforce CPQ (product catalog, pricing, approvals, quote-to-cash)
- Proven experience designing and governing integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems (ERP, middleware/iPaaS such as MuleSoft)
- Strong command of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce declarative tools (Flow)
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps/release management practices and tools (Salesforce DX, version control, CI/CD pipelines)
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into clear, scalable technical architecture
- Comfortable serving as a top-tier escalation point for urgent, complex issues and rolling up sleeves to resolve them directly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to present architecture decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-starter mentality: able to independently own architecture decisions and production issues with minimal oversight
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), or actively pursuing the CTA credential
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect and/or System Architect
- Additional certifications: Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, CPQ Specialist, Platform Developer II
- Experience in a medical device, life sciences, or other regulated industry environment
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA as they relate to CRM data
- Experience integrating Salesforce with Oracle EBS or comparable ERP platforms
- Experience with Health Cloud or other industry-specific Salesforce clouds
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Salesforce architect-level certifications are highly valued and may substitute for formal education.
Language Skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) -- mandatory
- Excellent interpersonal and consulting skills
- Able to explain complex technical architecture clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong documentation skills
