Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Video Editor to join our team on-site in Kolkata. You should be confident in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, and have 3+ years of hands-on experience in podcast editing, trend-based social media content, and AI-assisted content creation. You’ll work closely with our content and marketing teams to produce high-quality, engaging videos for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit podcast videos (multi-cam edits, syncing audio/video, clean cuts, pacing, speaker framing)
- Create short-form content for Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts (hook-based editing, fast pacing, trend formats)
- Add motion graphics in After Effects (titles, lower-thirds, transitions, basic animations, overlays)
- Enhance audio basics: noise reduction, leveling, and clean output (Premiere tools or plugins)
- Create platform-ready exports in different ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) and formats
- Use AI tools for faster content creation (auto captions, cutdowns, repurposing, thumbnails, basic AI workflows)
- Manage file organization, project backups, and maintain editing consistency
- Collaborate with the team to follow brand guidelines and meet deadlines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional editing experience (must include podcast editing + social media)
- Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
- Understanding of social trends, pacing, hooks, and retention-focused edits
- Experience with captions/subtitles, emojis, b-roll, sound effects, and modern transitions
- Basic understanding of color correction and audio cleanup
- Ability to work on-site in Kolkata and deliver work in a fast-paced environment
Good to Have (Preferred)
- Experience editing for YouTube podcasts, studio shoots, or interview formats
- Knowledge of tools like CapCut, Descript, Adobe Podcast Enhance, Midjourney/Runway, etc.
- Basic thumbnail sense (Canva/Photoshop) and content packaging understanding
- Familiarity with content for LinkedIn (clean, premium edits)
