Position Summary
The Operations Head will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end operations of the fresh food manufacturing business, ensuring Rm procurement, efficient production, quality compliance, food safety, inventory control, sales management, logistics coordination, and continuous improvement of operational performance.
The role requires strong leadership in a fast-paced environment where product freshness, quality, yield, and on-time delivery are critical to business success.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement management
- Plan and organise raw material procurement from FPOs (farmer producer companies) farmer groups, APMC market.
- Ensure quality and pricing of the produce is as per company requirement.
- Ensure timely supply chain of RM to the factory.
Production Management
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations.
- Must have experience in setting up a food manufacturing unit.
- Must be leading the operations in the previous Company.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
- Optimize manpower utilization across shifts.
Food Safety & Quality Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain hygiene and sanitation practices across manufacturing operations.
- Lead corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor production managers, supervisors, and operational teams.
- Establish performance objectives and conduct regular reviews.
- Drive employee engagement, training, and capability development.
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor, factory, food safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain statutory records and operational documentation.
- Lead workplace safety initiatives and accident prevention programs.
Supply chain Management
- Ensure timely and hygienic supply chain management of Rm to the factory and Final goods to the customers.
- Vehicle and driver management
- Ensure all the vehicles are maintained and in best conditions.
Sales management
- Connect to e-comm and Q-comm platforms and ensure the best quality products sales
- Connect to modern trade malls and ensure the sale of the best quality products.
- Connect with general trade shops and ensure the sale of best quality products
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Food Technology
- Food Engineering
- Operations Management
Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in Fresh food manufacturing operations.
- Experience in fresh food, ready-to-eat, FMCG food, or cold-chain operations preferred.

Pay: ₹21,416.84 - ₹98,170.85 per month
