Daycare Teacher – Job Description
Location: Junior Junction Preschool, Kondapur, Hyderabad
We are looking for a compassionate, responsible, and energetic Daycare Teacher to provide a safe, caring, and engaging environment for children enrolled in our daycare program.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of every child throughout the day.
* Create a warm, nurturing, and child-friendly environment where children feel comfortable and cared for.
* Plan and conduct age-appropriate activities, including storytelling, music, art & craft, free play, and indoor games.
* Encourage children’s social, emotional, language, and cognitive development through meaningful interactions.
* Supervise children’s daily routines, including meals, rest time, hygiene, and playtime.
* Guide and coordinate with the daycare support staff to ensure children’s needs are attended to promptly.
* Observe children’s behaviour and development and report any concerns to the school management and parents.
* Build positive relationships with parents by providing updates on their child’s daily activities and well-being.
* Maintain attendance records and other daycare documentation accurately.
* Ensure the daycare classroom, toys, and learning materials are clean, organized, and safe.
* Handle children with patience, empathy, and professionalism at all times.
* Follow the school’s policies, safety procedures, and child protection guidelines.
* Work collaboratively with the preschool team to provide high-quality care and learning experiences.
Eligibility
* Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Passion for working with young children.
* Patient, caring, responsible, and well-organized.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
Working Hours
Candidates may apply for either of the following shifts:
* Shift 1: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
* Shift 2: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Salary: Based on experience, qualifications, and selected shift.
Holidays: As per the Junior Junction Preschool Daycare Holiday Calendar.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
