Roles and Responsibilities
sourcing of maintenance and production related items, new vendor development, price negotiation.
Overall activities in purchase department, implementing & ensuring centralized purchase process
Sourcing of material / spares Cost reduction by new vendor development, negotiation, contracts etc.
To make enquiry, collect quotations & make comparative statement for each & every material Purchase goods, materials, components, services in line with specified cost , quality and delivery targets
Track orders & ensure timely delivery Review quality of material procured
Monitor stock level & order accordingly Co-ordination with production, Maintenance, stores, quality,
Develop new vendors for cost reductions with improving quality as per actual requirement Prepare periodic reports pertaining to stock, price trends and development of alternative source of supplier
Ensure commercial, legal & contractual compliance in all the procurement transactions Ensure to establish coma mercial balance between the budgeted cost and actual cost
Ensure to procsourcesure material with 5R i.e. Right Quality, right qty, Right time, right price & right source Payment follow-up with account
SOP implementation Inventory control management
Risk analysis Maintain approved vendor list along with price list of material
ISO & 5S implementation .
Desired Candidate Profile
Knowledge of Engineering material, good Negotiation skill, Experience in alternate supplier development
