We are seeking a visionary and execution-oriented VP of Platform Engineering & Operations to lead our India-based technology hub. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for bridging the gap between cutting-edge platform engineering and world-class operational excellence.
You will lead a multi-disciplinary team focused on building resilient, self-healing platforms while overseeing global Tier 1 and Tier 2 operational support. The ideal candidate isn't just an "operator" but a builder who views every manual task as an automation opportunity and every cost as a FinOps challenge to be optimized.
1. Strategic Leadership & People Management

Site Leadership: Act as the primary lead for the India Platform & Ops organization, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Talent Development: Hire, mentor, and retain top-tier engineering talent, building a high-performing team capable of supporting global scale.

Performance Management: Drive organizational success through a rigorous OKR (Objectives and Key Results) framework and clear KPIs (MTTR, MTTD, Change Success Rate, etc.).
2. Operations & Reliability

Global Support: Oversee Tier 1 and Tier 2 operational support functions, ensuring 24/7 availability and adherence to strict SLAs.

Incident Management: Lead the strategy for major incident response and post-mortem analysis to prevent recurrence.

Controls & Monitoring: Implement robust controls and observability stacks to monitor system health, security compliance, and data integrity.
3. Automation & AI Mindset

Self-Healing Infrastructure: Shift the organization from reactive "firefighting" to a proactive, AIOps-driven model.

CI/CD & DevOps: Champion the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated deployment pipelines to eliminate manual handoffs.

Tooling Innovation: Leverage AI/ML to predict potential system failures and optimize resource allocation.
4. FinOps & Cloud Economics

Cost Optimization: Drive the FinOps agenda, ensuring cloud consumption is transparent, attributed, and optimized.

Budget Management: Manage the India center’s operational budget, balancing innovation costs with bottom-line efficiency.

Experience: 15+ years in Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or SRE, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director/VP) within a Global Capability Center (GCC) or large-scale tech firm.

Technical Breadth: Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP),, and modern observability tools

Operational Excellence: Proven track record of managing Tier 1/2 support teams and improving reliability metrics.

Financial Acumen: Experience implementing FinOps practices and managing multi-million dollar budgets.

Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

The "Automation First" Filter: A natural tendency to automate repetitive tasks and a disdain for "toil."

Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to translate complex technical telemetry into actionable business insights.

Executive Presence: Comfortable presenting to C-suite stakeholders and influencing global strategy from the India site.
