Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Purchase professional to manage procurement activities for solar panel manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in sourcing raw materials, vendor management, price negotiation, purchase planning, and supplier performance management. Experience in solar module/panel manufacturing will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure solar manufacturing materials such as solar cells, glass, EVA, frames, backsheet, junction boxes, ribbons, flux, sealants and machinery components.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers.
- Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions with vendors.
- Prepare RFQs, comparative statements, purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation.
- Raise material requisitions and release POs according to production requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Technical, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Track supplier deliveries and take corrective action to prevent production delays.
- Monitor market trends, material prices, supplier capacity, and new technologies.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and regular performance reviews focusing on quality, cost, and delivery.
- Perform spend analysis and consolidate requirements to achieve cost savings.
- Coordinate supplier inspections, logistics, invoice verification, and payment processing.
- Ensure commercial, contractual, quality, and statutory compliance in procurement transactions.
- Support weekly/monthly procurement and production review meetings.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of purchase and procurement processes.
- Experience in vendor development and supplier management.
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
- Good understanding of solar module manufacturing materials.
- Ability to prepare comparative statements and cost analysis.
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and purchase/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Candidate
- 5+ years of experience in Purchase/Procurement.
- Candidates with experience in Solar Panel/Module Manufacturing will be preferred.
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Strong experience in raw material procurement and vendor negotiations.
Salary: As per experience and company standards.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
