Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing & Procurement: Identify and develop relationships with fabric mills and suppliers. Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Quality Assurance (QA): Implement quality control processes (e.g., checking for GSM, shrinkage, and colorfastness) to ensure materials meet buyer specifications.
- Production & Inventory Planning: Align fabric availability with production schedules, maintain optimal inventory levels, and minimize wastage.
- Sampling & Product Development: Coordinate the development process, including lab dips, strike-offs, and sample approvals to match seasonal trends.
- Vendor Management: Monitor supplier performance regarding lead times, quality consistency, and contract compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Typically 10+ years in textile manufacturing, apparel supply chain, or merchandising.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of knitting, weaving, dyeing, and finishing processes.
- Analytical & Computer Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (like SAP), advanced Excel, and cost sheet management.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, team leadership, and cross-functional communication abilities.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
