Job Description – HR Executive / HR Generalist
About the Role
One of our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Executive – Generalist to manage the end-to-end HR function for the organization. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional comfortable handling everything from payroll and compliance to recruitment and employee engagement, in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, including attendance/leave inputs, deductions, and reimbursements
- Coordinate with finance/accounts for salary disbursement and payroll-related queries
- Maintain payroll records and ensure timely resolution of employee salary discrepancies
End-to-End Recruitment
- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle — sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer rollout
- Post job openings on relevant job portals and manage candidate pipelines
- Conduct onboarding and induction for new hires
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, and other applicable labour laws
- Maintain statutory registers, filings, and documentation
- Liaise with consultants/government authorities as required for audits and inspections
HR Policies & Documentation
- Draft, implement, and update HR policies and the employee handbook
- Ensure policy adherence across departments
- Maintain and update employee records/HRMS data
Attendance & Leave Management
- Monitor daily attendance, leaves, and shift schedules
- Maintain attendance records and generate reports for payroll processing
- Address attendance-related discrepancies
Employee Engagement
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities and events
- Act as a point of contact for employee grievances and ensure timely resolution
- Support performance management processes and appraisal cycles
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- 2 years of relevant experience as an HR Generalist/HR Executive
- Sound knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing and HRMS tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Office tools
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
