We focus on women empowerment, skill development, healthcare, and rural enterprise through partnerships with government bodies, SHGs, and corporate partners.
Role Summary - The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building partnerships, and driving growth for Akhandjyoti Foundation’s programs. The role involves liaising with government departments, CSR teams, donors, and producer groups to expand our reach and secure funding and projects across Jharkhand.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partnerships & Fundraising :
- Identify and develop partnerships with government departments, JSLPS, CSR foundations, NGOs, and corporate donors.
- Prepare and submit proposals, MoUs, and grant applications for new projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in Ranchi and across Jharkhand.
2. Program Expansion:
- Map opportunities for new livelihood, skilling, and women empowerment projects.
- Work closely with field teams to assess feasibility and design scalable models.
- Support onboarding of Producer Groups and SHGs for enterprise initiatives.
3. Revenue & Project Development:
- Achieve targets for new project acquisition and resource mobilization.
- Develop business plans, budgets, and project proposals.
- Track deliverables and ensure timely reporting to donors and partners.
4. Stake holder Management:
- Represent AkhandJyoti Foundation in meetings, workshops, and government forums.
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth project execution and compliance.
- Maintain a strong network in the development sector across Jharkhand.
Required Qualifications & Skills. -:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Social Work, Rural Management, or related field. Master’s preferred.
- 3-5 years experience in Business Development, CSR, Donor Relations, or NGO project management.
- Strong understanding of government schemes, JSLPS, NRLM, and CSR funding mechanisms.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and proposal writing skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Jharkhand.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Hindi + English communication.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with SHGs, Producer Groups, or rural enterprises.
- Existing network with government and CSR stakeholders in Jharkhand.
- Data-driven approach with ability to track KPIs and outcomes.
