Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our technical design, drafting, engineering, CNC automation, and process development initiatives.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of cabinet manufacturing, millwork, modular furniture production, CNC machining, CAD/CAM software, and engineering management. This role requires both technical expertise and leadership capabilities to guide a growing team of designers and engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Design Leadership
- Lead and manage the drafting and engineering team.
- Review and approve shop drawings, production drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Establish engineering standards, drafting procedures, and quality control processes.
- Ensure projects are delivered accurately and on schedule.
Manufacturing & CNC Automation
- Develop and optimize CNC-ready manufacturing workflows.
- Improve engineering automation using CAD/CAM software, AutoCAD, and related technologies.
- Support machine integration, post-processors, labeling systems, and manufacturing outputs.
- Standardize manufacturing processes to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and train technical designers and engineers.
- Conduct technical reviews and performance evaluations.
- Build technical capabilities within the organization through structured training programs.
Customer & Project Management
- Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions.
- Understand client requirements and convert them into engineering standards.
- Coordinate with international customers across the USA, Canada, Australia, and Europe.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Wood Technology, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–15 years of experience in cabinetry, modular furniture, millwork, woodworking, or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong understanding of furniture manufacturing and production processes.
- Experience managing engineering or technical teams.
- Ability to read architectural, interior, and construction drawings.
