Job Title: Production Planning & Material Control Executive
Department: Operations / Supply Chain
Reporting To: Operations Manager / SCM Head
1. Job Purpose
To manage production planning, material requirement planning, and inventory control to ensure smooth operations, timely delivery, and optimal resource utilization while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
- Utilize SAP MRP module for effective material planning and procurement
- Raise weekly purchase requisitions to Domestic and Import SCM teams
- Track material availability and arrival timelines
- Provide Order Confirmation (OC) dates to Customer Service team
2.2 Production Planning
- Prepare weekly and monthly production plans (in-house and outsourcing)
- Issue Work Orders (WO) for production
- Coordinate with Warehouse and Quality teams for GRN clearance
2.3 Production Control
- Monitor actual production vs plan
- Maintain required inventory levels and safety stock
2.4 Demand Planning
- Forecast customer requirements based on data and trends
- Align supply chain to meet changing demand
2.5 Capacity Planning
- Calculate lead times for raw materials and production
- Identify bottlenecks in assembly, warehouse capacity, and supplier scheduling
2.6 On-Time Delivery Management
- Monitor shipments vs committed delivery dates
- Track On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance
- Handle key customer project material planning
- Implement corrective actions for improvement
- Ensure high customer satisfaction
2.7 Coordination & Reporting
- Conduct weekly operations meetings with cross-functional teams
- Coordinate daily with Sales and Customer Service teams
- Prepare MIS reports (inventory & project overview)
- Ensure ISO compliance and inventory control measures
3. Authorities
- Authorized to raise Purchase Requisitions (PR)
- Authorized to allocate work to subordinates
- Authorized to plan materials as per requirements
- Authorized to issue Work Orders for production
- Authorized to prepare DC / E-way bills
4. Required Competencies
- Expertise in Production Planning & Control
- Strong knowledge of SAP MRP module
- Material planning and scheduling skills
- Inventory management expertise
- Good communication (verbal & written)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Operations
- Experience in production planning / supply chain role
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
