The Store Keeper is responsible for maintaining the receipt, storage, issuance, and record-keeping of materials, tools, equipment, and other inventory items. The role ensures proper stock management, accurate inventory records, and smooth coordination with various departments for material requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Maintain proper records of stock receipts, issues, and balances.
- Ensure safe storage and proper arrangement of materials within the store.
- Issue materials to authorized personnel as per approved requisitions.
- Conduct regular stock verification and physical inventory checks.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain stock registers, inventory reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate with the procurement department for replenishment of stock.
- Visit local markets, vendors, and suppliers to procure urgent materials, spare parts, tools, stationery, or other items as required by the company.
- Collect and deliver materials, documents, and supplies from vendors or other designated locations as instructed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding inventory management and store operations.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store area.
- Track and manage expired, obsolete, or damaged stock.
- Assist during internal and external audits related to inventory and stores.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of inventory and store management procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software/ERP systems.
- Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors and local suppliers.
- Basic understanding of material handling and storage practices.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to perform stock reconciliation and inventory analysis.
Qualification Required:
- Higher Secondary (12th Pass) / Graduate in any discipline.
- Diploma or certification in Store Management or Inventory Control will be an added advantage.
- 2–4 years of experience in storekeeping, warehouse management, inventory control, or procurement-related activities.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering, or industrial sectors preferred.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
