Academic Coordinator (Teaching + Admissions)
Location: Pote Tutorials, Kalyan East
Position Summary
Pote Tutorials is seeking a dynamic and academically strong Academic Coordinator who can effectively manage a combination of teaching, student admissions, parent counselling, and academic coordination responsibilities. The ideal candidate should be passionate about education, capable of teaching core subjects, and skilled in guiding prospective parents and students through the admission process.
This is not a pure sales role. The position requires a balance of academic expertise and admissions management to support the overall growth and smooth functioning of the center.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
- Teach students in any one or more of the following subjects:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- Conduct engaging classroom sessions and ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Monitor student academic progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Support curriculum planning, lesson delivery, assessments, and academic activities.
- Maintain student records, attendance, and academic reports.
- Coordinate with faculty members to ensure smooth academic operations.
Admissions & Parent Counselling
- Handle admission inquiries received through walk-ins, calls, references, and digital platforms.
- Conduct counselling sessions with prospective parents and students.
- Explain course offerings, academic programs, fee structures, and enrollment procedures.
- Follow up with prospective leads and convert inquiries into admissions.
- Maintain admission records and update admission tracking reports.
- Build positive relationships with parents and address their queries effectively.
Administrative & Coordination Responsibilities
- Coordinate between management, faculty, students, and parents.
- Support planning and execution of academic events, orientations, and parent meetings.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the center.
- Prepare and maintain necessary academic and admission-related documentation.
- Assist the Branch Head in achieving student enrollment and academic goals.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (B.Ed. preferred).
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in teaching, academic coordination, admissions, or educational administration.
- Strong subject knowledge in English, Mathematics, or Science.
- Experience in parent counselling and admissions will be preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and educational management tools.
