We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Solar PV Installer Trainer to deliver practical and classroom training on Solar Photovoltaic (PV) installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and safety. The trainer will prepare candidates for employment in the renewable energy sector by providing industry-relevant technical skills aligned with national occupational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver theory and practical training on Solar PV installation and maintenance.
- Train candidates on rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
- Demonstrate installation of solar panels, mounting structures, inverters, batteries, and electrical wiring.
- Conduct practical sessions on system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with electrical and workplace safety standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, training schedules, presentations, and practical assignments.
- Assess trainees through theory and practical evaluations.
- Maintain training equipment, tools, and laboratory/workshop facilities.
- Keep records of trainee attendance, assessments, and progress.
- Coordinate with placement teams to support trainee employment.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Solar PV systems and renewable energy technologies.
- Hands-on experience in installation, testing, and maintenance of solar systems.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, earthing, inverters, batteries, and charge controllers.
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards and PPE usage.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to conduct practical demonstrations and field visits.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel).
Educational Qualification
- Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- ITI (Electrician/Electronics) with relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Solar PV installation, commissioning, or maintenance.
- Prior training or teaching experience in Skill Development/ITI/Polytechnic is preferred.
- Experience with rooftop solar projects is an added advantage.
Preferred Certifications
- Skill India/NSDC/SSC certification as a Solar PV Installer Trainer.
- Training of Trainers (ToT) certification from the relevant Sector Skill Council (preferred).
- Valid electrical license/certification (if applicable).

- Training completion rate.
- Trainee assessment and certification success rate.
- Placement percentage of trained candidates.
- Quality of practical sessions and lab management.
- Trainee feedback and satisfaction.
- Compliance with training and safety standards.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
