Required Project Engineer - Electricals only
Mandatory - only from Commercial Electricals background, not from resident or any other
Location - Mulund
1. Estimation & BOQ Management
- Prepare initial Bill of Quantities (BOQ) on receipt of client inquiry and calculate total project value
- Submit rough estimates to client and refine them through negotiation rounds
- Match BOQ quantities against actual site measurements; flag and justify discrepancies to client
- Generate change order quotations mid-project whenever scope increases or site conditions vary
2. Site & Material Coordination
- Determine material quantities, delivery timelines, and logistics for each site location
- Maintain running estimates of material requirements (cables, pipes, fittings, etc.)
- Coordinate material procurement with the purchase team across Mumbai and outstation locations
- Track material arrivals against purchase orders and flag shortfalls early
3. Client & Contractor Interface
- Attend client meetings; address technical queries and timeline concerns independently
- Lead rate negotiations with the client's purchase team for base contracts and change orders
- Liaise continuously with the main contractor's project in-charge for approvals and sign-offs
- Proactively raise concerns when actual quantities exceed BOQ estimates
4. Cross-Department Coordination
- Manage labor coordination across electrical, POP, carpentry, and allied trades on site
- Flag delays when one trade's work is blocking another's execution
- Review purchase department costing and material orders for accuracy
- Coordinate with accounts team on payment status and cash flow requirements
5. Billing & Payment Management
- Generate running bills based on percentage of work completed
- Get bills accepted and signed off by the contractor's project in-charge
- Submit signed copies to office and follow up with the finance team for payment release
- Flag when client payment delays are impacting material procurement
- Track retention payment timelines and follow up proactively at due dates
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
