We are looking for a proactive and technically sound Network Administrator to manage, monitor, and maintain the organization's IT network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in configuring network devices, troubleshooting connectivity issues, maintaining system security, and ensuring high network availability. The candidate should be eager to learn new technologies and work closely with the IT and Infrastructure team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and Internet connectivity.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve network bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot network, hardware, and connectivity issues across the organization.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory (preferred).
- Configure and maintain DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPN, and IP addressing.
- Ensure network security through firewall policies, antivirus, endpoint security, and access controls.
- Perform regular network health checks and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain backups of network configurations and critical infrastructure.
- Coordinate with ISPs and third-party vendors for Internet and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, printers, IP phones, and other IT peripherals.
- Maintain documentation of network architecture, assets, and IT inventory.
- Provide technical support to end users and resolve IT tickets within defined SLAs.
- Assist in implementing new network infrastructure and technology upgrades.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, VPN, and routing concepts.
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networking.
- Knowledge of Windows Server and Windows desktop environments.
- Basic understanding of Linux administration will be an advantage.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration is preferred.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Understanding of endpoint security, antivirus solutions, and backup practices.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of CCTV, biometric devices, and IP-based surveillance systems is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
