Workday Accounting Center Specialist (Tax & R2R Focus)
We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Accounting Center Specialist with strong expertise in tax configuration and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes. This role is responsible for managing event-driven accounting, ensuring accurate financial postings, and supporting tax-compliant accounting flows across Workday Financials and integrated systems.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounting Center (Core Focus)

Configure and maintain Accounting Center frameworks, including Accounting rules and mappings, Source-to-accounting transformations.

Support event-driven accounting processes, ensuring accurate postings to the General Ledger.

Troubleshoot issues related to Incorrect mappings, missing accounting entries, Integration data inconsistencies.

Perform impact analysis for changes affecting accounting flows.

Collaborate with upstream system owners to ensure data quality and completeness.
Tax Configuration & Compliance

Configure and maintain Tax codes, rates, and applicability rules, VAT/GST and withholding tax setups

Ensure proper tax treatment across source transactions feeding Accounting Center, Customer and supplier invoices

Investigate and resolve tax-related discrepancies in accounting postings.
Record-to-Report (R2R)

Support end-to-end R2R processes, including Journal entries and adjustments, period-end and year-end close

Ensure accurate accounting postings generated from Accounting Center.

Maintain alignment between subledger, Accounting Center, and GL.
System Configuration & Support

Configure and support Ledgers, accounting structures, and worktags, Business Process Frameworks (BPFs) where relevant

Support EIB loads, data corrections, and integration testing.

Perform root cause analysis for system and accounting issues.
