Key Responsibilities
1. Staff Management & Leadership
- Recruit, train, and mentor front desk agents, concierges, and night auditors.
- Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and holidays.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training on hotel software (e.g., property management systems) and customer service. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
2. Guest Services & Experience
- Oversee VIP arrivals, special requests, and room allocations to ensure personalized guest experiences.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for complex guest complaints, ensuring quick and courteous resolution.
- Monitor service standards to guarantee a welcoming and efficient atmosphere from arrival to departure. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
3. Operations & Coordination
- Ensure accurate communication of daily arrival/departure lists and room status updates to the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments.
- Manage room inventory, rate controls, and group bookings to help maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Oversee master key control and maintain the safety and confidentiality of guest data. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
4. Financial & Administrative Tasks
- Monitor billing accuracy, verify credit limits, and handle daily revenue reconciliation.
- Prepare department budgets, track expenses, and manage payroll guidelines.
- Generate regular reports regarding front office performance, occupancy, and guest feedback for hotel management
