Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the company. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, processing transactions, preparing reconciliations, assisting with statutory compliance, and supporting the senior finance team in routine accounting and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Record day-to-day accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and accounting records.
- Prepare bank, cash, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
- Verify invoices, bills, payment requests, and supporting documents before accounting/payment.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Follow up on outstanding customer/vendor balances as required.
- Assist in the preparation of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance workings.
- Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Assist during statutory audit, tax audit, and internal audit.
- Prepare audit schedules, confirmations, and supporting documents.
- Assist in maintaining fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Process employee reimbursement and other approved expenses.
- Assist in payroll-related accounting and statutory deductions, where applicable.
- Maintain petty cash and related records.
- Ensure accounting entries are properly supported by invoices/documents.
- Identify discrepancies in accounts and bring them to the attention of the reporting manager.
- Assist in the preparation of MIS reports and management information.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by the reporting manager.
Skills & Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com / equivalent qualification.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience; freshers with good accounting knowledge may be considered.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and journal entries.
- Knowledge of Tally / ERP / accounting software.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, and other Indian statutory compliances.
- Good numerical and analytical ability.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organisational and documentation skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
