We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Gwalior. The ideal candidate should have basic accounting knowledge, strong documentation skills, and experience handling banking operations, petty cash, and daily financial records. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and maintain vouchers, invoices, receipts, and payment records.
- Assist in daily bookkeeping and accounting entries.
- Handle banking operations, including:
- Cheque preparation and issuance.
- RTGS/NEFT form preparation and processing.
- Bank deposit slips and withdrawal documentation.
- Follow up with banks regarding transactions and account-related matters.
- Maintain the Petty Cash Book and ensure proper supporting documents for all cash expenses.
- Record daily cash receipts and payments.
- Assist in bank reconciliation activities.
- Organise, file, and maintain physical and digital financial documents.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments for payment-related documentation.
- Assist senior accountants with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
- Support statutory compliance documentation as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with banking procedures and documentation.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Basic knowledge of Tally Prime is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of cheque processing and banking documentation.
- Understanding of RTGS, NEFT, IMPS, and online banking transactions.
- Experience maintaining petty cash records.
- Good filing and record management skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow in the accounting profession.
