About the Role
EMA Rubber Industries is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Mid-Level Accountant who will manage end-to-end accounting operations and statutory compliance in a manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with the HR & Admin Head but independently own all finance-related responsibilities to ensure smooth and compliant financial functioning.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate professionally with customers, vendors, banks, and statutory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounts & Bookkeeping (Zoho Books + Google Sheets)
- Enter vendor invoices accurately and match Purchase Orders with GRNs.
- Create and manage customer invoices and e-way bills.
- Maintain accounts receivable & payable with real-time accuracy.
- Perform bank reconciliation for multiple accounts.
- Maintain and update accounting trackers on Google Sheets.
2. Statutory Compliance & Returns (Handled independently, with only final approval from CA)
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual return support).
- Handle TDS filings, challans, and quarterly returns.
- Maintain compliance documentation as per statutory norms.
3. Payroll & Employee-Related Accounting
- Assist HR & Admin Head in monthly payroll calculation and payment.
- Process employee reimbursements and maintain proper documentation.
- Support statutory payroll compliances (PF/ESIC coordination).
4. Cash & Expense Management
- Maintain petty cash with accurate daily tracking.
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of all office, factory, and operational expenses.
- Support cost monitoring, consumption tracking, and budgeting.
5. Customer & Vendor Coordination
- Follow up with customers for timely payments and ledger reconciliation.
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment schedules, and TDS matters.
- Resolve financial queries professionally and promptly.
6. Import, Export & Banking Documentation
- Prepare documents for exports/imports including invoices, packing lists, BOE references, LUT details, etc.
- Coordinate with banks for remittances, export documentation, LC updates, and related paperwork.
- Maintain records required for DGFT, customs, and audit purposes.
7. Inventory Costing & Manufacturing Accounts
- Support costing of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods (when required).
- Assist in consumption variance analysis and production-related accounting.
8. Audit Support
- Prepare all schedules, ledgers, reports, and documentation for internal & statutory audits.
- Provide timely responses and data to auditors and CA.
9. Process Improvements & Reporting
- Maintain daily/weekly/monthly accounting dashboards and MIS.
- Suggest process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency in finance operations.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of Zoho Books and Google Sheets.
- Sound understanding of Indian accounting principles & manufacturing-related finance.
- Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, payroll data, and reconciliations.
- Excellent communication skills for customer and vendor interactions.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational discipline.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Ability to coordinate with factory staff, HR, vendors, and banks seamlessly.
