Website Developer – Shopify & WordPress
We are looking for a Website Developer responsible for developing, customizing, maintaining, and optimizing websites and e-commerce stores using Shopify and WordPress. The role will involve working on client websites, implementing design and functionality requirements, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring websites are responsive, fast, secure, and user-friendly.
1. Shopify Development
- Develop and customize Shopify stores using Shopify themes.
- Customize existing themes such as Dawn, Kalles, and other premium/free themes.
- Modify Shopify theme sections, templates, layouts, headers, footers, product pages, collection pages, cart, and navigation.
- Write and modify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Create custom Shopify sections and reusable components.
- Implement custom product, collection, banner, slider, popup, and promotional sections.
- Customize product pages including:
- Product options and variants
- Pricing/MRP display
- Discount percentages
- Product badges
- Upsells and cross-sells
- Product add-ons
- Trust badges and USP sections
- Customize cart and mini-cart functionality.
- Integrate and configure Shopify apps.
- Troubleshoot conflicts between Shopify apps and themes.
- Work with payment gateways and checkout-related integrations.
- Implement tracking codes such as Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking.
- Optimize Shopify stores for mobile responsiveness, speed, and conversion.
- Troubleshoot Shopify theme and functionality issues.
- Handle Shopify store migrations and theme updates when required.
2. WordPress Development
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites and WooCommerce stores.
- Work with Elementor and other WordPress page builders.
- Customize WordPress themes and templates.
- Create responsive landing pages and website sections.
- Customize headers, footers, menus, forms, popups, sliders, and other website components.
- Develop and modify HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP.
- Configure and manage WordPress plugins.
- Troubleshoot plugin conflicts and website errors.
- Customize WooCommerce:
- Product pages
- Categories
- Cart
- Checkout
- Product variations
- Coupons
- Shipping
- Payment gateways
- Integrate third-party tools, APIs, forms, CRM, WhatsApp, payment gateways, and marketing platforms.
- Perform WordPress updates, backups, and basic security maintenance.
- Optimize websites for speed and mobile responsiveness.
3. Website Maintenance & Support
- Regularly maintain client websites.
- Fix bugs and technical issues.
- Resolve layout and responsiveness problems.
- Identify and fix broken links, forms, buttons, images, and website functionality.
- Monitor website performance and troubleshoot downtime/errors.
- Make content and design changes as requested by clients.
- Maintain website backups and assist with recovery when required.
- Ensure websites remain compatible after theme/plugin/app updates.
4. Website Design Implementation
- Convert Figma/PSD/design references into functional websites.
- Implement website designs accurately across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Maintain consistency in fonts, spacing, colors, buttons, images, and overall branding.
- Create landing pages for marketing and advertising campaigns.
- Work closely with the design and performance marketing teams to implement CRO-focused website changes.
5. E-Commerce Development
- Develop and optimize Shopify and WooCommerce stores.
- Implement product collections and category structures.
- Configure shipping and payment integrations.
- Implement discount codes, offers, bundles, upsells, and promotional elements.
- Improve product discovery and navigation.
- Optimize checkout and cart experience.
- Implement conversion-focused features and landing pages.
- Troubleshoot order, payment, shipping, and app/plugin-related issues.
6. Third-Party Integrations
The developer may be required to integrate and troubleshoot:
- Payment gateways
- Shipping platforms
- WhatsApp/API integrations
- CRM systems
- Email marketing platforms
- Google Analytics
- Google Tag Manager
- Meta Pixel
- Google Ads conversion tracking
- Product feeds
- Review applications
- Marketing and automation tools

7. Performance & SEO Technical Support
- Improve website loading speed.
- Optimize images and website assets.
- Implement basic technical SEO requirements.
- Maintain proper heading structure and URLs.
- Implement schema markup when required.
- Ensure mobile-friendly implementation.
- Identify technical issues affecting SEO and conversions.
- Coordinate with the SEO/marketing team for technical requirements.
8. Collaboration & Client Work
- Work with the internal design, content, SEO, and performance marketing teams.
- Understand client requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
- Estimate development timelines for assigned tasks.
- Communicate progress and technical challenges clearly.
- Test all changes before deployment.
- Handle multiple client websites simultaneously.
- Maintain proper documentation of major website changes.
