We are Looking for Someone Experienced and confident in Handling Heavy Diesel Generators. All matters Related to the Generator need to be Handled. A Heavy Major Generator Mechanic inspects, diagnoses, and performs major overhauls on industrial Diesel generators (15 KVA to 1010 KVA). They rebuild engines, troubleshoot complex AC/DC switchgear, and conduct load-bank testing. This mission-critical role ensures 100% uptime for standby and prime power applications.
Core Responsibilities
Major Overhauls: Tear down, rebuild, and inspect heavy-duty internal combustion engines (e.g., Caterpillar, Cummins, Kirlosker ) including cylinder heads, pistons, crankshafts, and turbochargers.
Electrical Diagnostics: Troubleshoot, repair, and test Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), paralleling switchgear, governors, and voltage regulators.
System Testing: Perform full-load and multi-step load-bank testing to verify KW/KVA output, frequency, and temperature limits.
Preventive Maintenance (PM): Execute complex PMs on fuel systems, cooling systems, lube oil, and exhaust/emissions components.
Compliance & Records: Document all findings, part replacements, and service hours in accordance with EPA, NFPA 110, and OSHA safety standards.
Key Requirements Education & Experience: Typically requires 5 - 14+ years of dedicated experience with industrial power systems or an equivalent military/technical certification (e.g., EGSA certification).Technical Proficiencies: Advanced knowledge of engine mechanics, AC/DC theory, relay logic, and engine diagnostic software.
Physical & Environmental: Must possess the stamina to lift heavy components (up to 50 lbs), work in confined spaces, and handle adverse weather or austere conditions.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
