JOB OPPORTUNITY – SHIFT OFFICER | FABRIC DYEINGDepartment: Dyeing / Wet ProcessingExperience: Minimum 5 YearsQualification: Diploma in Textile Processing / Textile Chemistry / ChemistrySalary: Up to ₹50,000 per monthReporting To: Dyeing Manager / Head – Wet ProcessingLocation: Ludhiana / PunjabJOB PURPOSETo independently manage shift-wise fabric dyeing and wet processing operations, ensuring production targets, shade quality, process efficiency, safety, and timely batch completion.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage complete dyeing operations from batch preparation, dyeing, washing to batch handover.Handle different fibre types including Wool, Acrylic, Cotton, Blends, Filament Yarns and Technical Fibres such as Meta-Aramid / Aramid.Ensure correct execution of approved recipes, temperature, pH, dosing, time and other process parameters.Monitor shade matching, levelness, fastness and overall quality.Troubleshoot shade variation, unlevel dyeing, staining, spots and reprocessing issues.Coordinate with Lab/Colour Matching, Quality, Production Planning, Maintenance and Finishing departments.Control dye/chemical consumption, water usage, reprocessing and production losses.Manage operators and manpower deployment during the shift.Maintain batch records, production reports and chemical consumption records.Ensure proper machine operation, housekeeping, PPE, safety and environmental compliance.Conduct effective shift handover and communicate pending batches/issues to the next shift.REQUIRED EXPERIENCECandidates should have strong hands-on experience in Fabric Dyeing / Wet Processing, preferably covering:Wool | Acrylic | Cotton | Filament Yarn | Meta-Aramid / Aramid | Blended FabricsExperience with HT, Jet/Soft Flow, Winch, Jigger or other relevant dyeing machines will be an advantage.CANDIDATE PROFILEMinimum 5 years of relevant dyeing/wet processing experience.Diploma in Textile Processing / Textile Chemistry / Chemistry.Good knowledge of dyeing chemistry, recipes and process control.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to independently handle a complete production shift.Good manpower management and interdepartmental coordination.Quality- and productivity-oriented.Willingness to work in shifts.
