A MERN Stack Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining web applications using the MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js technologies. The developer works on both frontend and backend systems, ensuring high performance, scalability, and responsive design.
Key Responsibilities
1. Frontend Development
- Build responsive user interfaces using React.
- Develop reusable components and UI libraries.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement state management using tools like Redux or Context API.
2. Backend Development
- Build RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
- Implement server-side logic and application architecture.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services.
3. Database Management
- Design and maintain databases using MongoDB.
- Write efficient queries and ensure data security.
- Handle data modeling and schema design.
4. Integration & Deployment
- Connect frontend with backend services.
- Manage application deployment on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Use version control systems like Git.
5. Testing & Debugging
- Identify and fix bugs across the stack.
- Write unit and integration tests.
- Ensure application performance and reliability.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with React and component-based architecture
- Backend development using Node.js and Express.js
- Database experience with MongoDB
- REST API development
- Git version control
- HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
