We the People (www.wethepeople.co.in) is offering livelihoods promotion services to the lower income groups emphasising on youth, women and farmers through institutional development services, financial inclusion services and business development services. We believe that ‘Income is Development’. ‘We the People’ strives to address the challenge of persistent poverty by creating income opportunities for the poor and by enabling them to earn a stable income.
‘We the People’ initiated a long-term livelihood project in Simedga district, also considered to be an aspirational district, to provide vocational skills in non-formal mode to non-literate, neo-literates, persons with rudimentary level of education upto 8th and school dropouts upto 12th standard in the age group of 15-45 years followed by wage-employment, self-employment and micro-enterprise development opportunities along with post-placement and handholding support to the placed, self-employed and micro entrepreneurs, facilitating increase in income of the poor households. The priority groups are women, SC, ST, minorities and other backward sections of the society. We are reaching out to the unreached areas to cater the needs of the poorest of the poor.
We are mandated to offer vocational skills training to 1800 candidates per annum in Simdega district as per the above-mentioned criteria besides, facilitating wage-&-self employment opportunities and assisting in setting-up of micro-enterprises for the candidates successfully completed vocational skills training.

The Project Coordinator shall support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of skill development, livelihood promotion, and community development activities undertaken by JSS Simdega.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation of training and livelihood programmes in accordance with project objectives and guidelines.
- Liaise with government departments, local institutions, training centres, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare work plans, schedules, progress reports, and project documentation.
- Monitor field activities and ensure timely achievement of project targets.
- Maintain records related to beneficiaries, training programmes, meetings, and project outcomes.
- Organize meetings, workshops, awareness campaigns, and capacity-building programmes.
- Support mobilization of beneficiaries and community outreach activities.
- Assist in data collection, verification, and submission of reports to the management and funding agencies.
- Coordinate with trainers, field staff, and administrative personnel for smooth project execution.
- Perform any other project-related duties assigned by the Director/Management.
Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications in Social Work, Rural Development, Management, or related fields.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project coordination, skill development, livelihood promotion, rural development, or social sector projects.
- Experience of working with government schemes and community-based programmes will be preferred.
Skills Required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Report writing and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel within Simdega district and nearby areas.
Reporting
The Project Coordinator shall report to the Director, JSS Simdega, and provide regular updates on project activities and progress.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
