Job Description –
Position Title: Internal Auditor Manager
Department: Internal Audit / Compliance
1. Role Overview The Internal Auditor Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing internal audit activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, regulatory requirements, and risk management guidelines. The role involves planning, executing, and reporting on audits across departments, identifying gaps, recommending improvements, and strengthening internal control systems.
2. Key Responsibilities
Audit Planning & Execution
Develop annual audit plans based on risk assessment and business priorities. Conduct internal audits across departments including Finance, Operations, HR, Sales, Branches, and other business units.
Ensure audits are executed as per defined scope, timelines, and standards.
Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, processes, and SOPs. Risk Management & Compliance
Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and non-compliance issues.
Recommend corrective actions and assist departments in implementing improvements.
Monitor compliance with statutory, regulatory, and organizational policies.
Support management in strengthening governance and risk management frameworks. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare detailed audit reports with observations, risk classifications, and recommendations.
Present findings to senior management with actionable insights.
Maintain proper audit documentation as per internal audit standards. Follow-up & Corrective Action
Track implementation of audit recommendations.
Conduct follow-up reviews to ensure corrective actions have been carried out effectively. Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead, mentor, and guide junior auditors and audit teams.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, department heads, and branch managers during audits.
Engage with external auditors and regulatory bodies when required. 3. Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, internal controls, and audit methodology. Expertise in risk assessment, financial analysis, and process reviews.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Strong communication, presentation, and report-writing abilities.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS reporting, and audit tools. 4. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Preferred: CA, CMA, MBA (Finance), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
5–10 years of experience in internal audit, compliance, or risk management roles. Experience in BFSI, NBFC, banking, or financial services will be an added advantage
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
