Day-to-Day Responsibilities
● On-Site Infrastructure Management: Oversee the daily operations, administration, and troubleshooting of the deployed Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP) and SD-WAN architecture at the customer site.
● Incident & Ticket Resolution: Actively monitor, pick up, and resolve Helpdesk tickets from customer users/IT teams within the defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
● OEM Collaboration: Coordinate directly with Fortinet TAC (Technical Assistance Center) and other OEM support teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring SLA timelines are strictly met.
● On-Site & Remote Support: Be physically present at the customer site to handle hardware replacements, cabling, physical troubleshooting, and local deployments, while also supporting remote branch sites as required.
● Reporting & Documentation: Provide daily/weekly network health, incident, and performance reports to the Reporting Manager and customer's IT stakeholders. Maintain up-to-date network diagrams and configuration backups.
● Team Collaboration: Work closely with the internal network engineering and management teams to align on security policies, upgrades, and scheduled maintenance windows.
Essential
● Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in Network Security and Firewall/SD-WAN deployment.
● Core Technology Stack:Fortinet (Mandatory): Strong configuration and management experience with FortiGate firewalls.
● Cisco/Meraki Firewall, Palo Alto Firewalls.
● Good in English language communication with telephonic skills.
● Good liaising and troubleshooting skills.
Desirable
● Excellent understanding of Static Routing,, OSPF, BGPv4, GRE, MPLS, IPv6, Policy Based Routing PBR, Route Filtering, Path Manipulation, Redistribution, Summarization.
● VPN:-GRE, GRE Over IPSEC, DMVPN IPSEC and SSL-VPN.
● Managing Traffic with Access List : Traffic control, monitoring, network security using Access Control List
● Basic understanding of firewall based authentications.
● Troubleshooting skills for debugging, Packet capture analysis.
● Fortinet LAN Edge: Direct hands-on experience configuring and managing FortiSwitches and FortiAPs (including FortiLink integration, VLAN steering, SSID management, and wireless security profiles).
● Alternative Firewall Knowledge: Exposure to or basic hands-on experience with Cisco/Meraki or Palo Alto Firewalls is a strong plus.
