Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated MEP Design Engineer to handle design and documentation of Electrical, Plumbing (PHE), and Fire Fighting systems. The candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing schematic designs, shop drawings, and design calculations in compliance with relevant codes and local authority regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of MEP schematic designs in coordination with architectural and structural drawings
- Preparation of detailed shop drawings for:
Electrical systems
Plumbing (Water Supply, Drainage & Sanitary)
Fire Fighting systems
- Electrical design including:
Load calculations
SLDs (Single Line Diagrams)
Lighting & power layouts
Earthing & lightning protection systems
- Design of water supply, drainage & sanitary systems as per NBC and local norms
- Design of Fire Fighting systems (Hydrant, Sprinkler, Hose Reel) as per NBC / IS Codes
- Preparation of design calculations, technical specifications & reports
- Preparation & verification of Engineering BOQ / Quantity Take-offs
- Coordination with architects and structural consultants for clash-free designs
- Preparation of documents for statutory approvals (Electrical, Fire, Water Authority, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with NBC, IS Codes, and local authority regulations
- Value engineering and system optimization without compromising safety
- Design support during tendering and execution stages
- Review of material submittals for MEP works
- Preparation of as-built drawings and project close-out documentation
Candidate Requirements:
Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
1 years of experience in MEP design
Basic understanding of approval procedures
Strong coordination and documentation skills
