Job Description: Senior Electrical Engineer (Site Infrastructure & Commissioning)
Positions: 2
Experience: 10+ Years
Location: Project Site / Industrial Plant
Role Objective
We are looking for two highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineers to spearhead the electrical infrastructure and machinery integration for our industrial project. You will be responsible for everything from high-voltage substation installations to the intricate low-voltage field terminations required for sophisticated process equipment. This role demands a balance of high-level technical oversight and hands-on field supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Power Infrastructure (33kV): Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of 33kV switchyards, transformers, and high-voltage cabling.
- LV Distribution & Control: Manage the setup of LV systems, Main Distribution Boards (MDBs), and Sub-Distribution Boards, ensuring optimal load balancing and safety compliance.
- Power Backup & Sync: Oversee the installation of Diesel Generator (DG) sets and synchronization panels to ensure seamless power transitions and redundancy.
- Machinery & Process Hookups: Lead the electrical integration of industrial machinery and process equipment. This includes managing complex field terminations for motors, valves, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Lighting & Utilities: Design and oversee the execution of industrial lighting systems (indoor/outdoor/emergency) and general plant utility power.
- Contractor Supervision: Act as the primary point of contact for electrical contractors, ensuring work meets technical specifications, local electrical codes, and safety standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 10+ years in industrial electrical projects, specifically in heavy manufacturing, chemicals, or energy sectors.
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of LV/MV switchgear and protection relays.
- Expertise in DG synchronization logic and PLC-based power management systems.
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation terminations (4-20mA loops, HART protocol, Profibus/Profinet).
- Proficiency in reading Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Cable Schedules, and Loop Drawings.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage large teams of electricians and contractors under tight project deadlines.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Professional License or "A-Grade" Electrical Supervisor License preferred).
- Safety: Strong knowledge of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and hazardous area classifications.
Work Environment
- This is a field-intensive role requiring physical presence at the project site to verify terminations and oversee installations.
- Coordination with the Mechanical and Automation teams is critical for successful equipment startup.
