Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer to oversee and ensure the quality of construction processes, materials, and outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of the construction industry's quality assurance and control processes, standards, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance & Control:
- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, processes, and inspection plans for all construction activities.
- Conduct routine inspections and audits of on-site activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor the quality of materials, workmanship, and testing methods.
2. Compliance:
- Ensure all construction work adheres to applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Review and approve contractor and supplier quality documentation.
3. Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain quality-related reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and other required documentation.
- Maintain detailed records of inspection and testing activities.
4. Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to resolve quality-related issues.
- Coordinate with third-party inspectors and certification agencies as required.
5. Team Leadership:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA/QC staff.
- Lead quality meetings and ensure alignment across teams.
6. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in quality processes and recommend actionable solutions.
- Stay updated on the latest QA/QC practices and technologies in the construction industry.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-12 years in QA/QC roles in the construction industry, with at least 2 years in a senior position.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in QA/QC tools and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
