Job description:
HIRING FOR A CLIENT - A European (Italy-based) MNC in Manufacturing - Plant based in Sanaswadi Pune, India.Core Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Daily Production Plans:
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders and plant capacity
- Co-ordinate with Production Team to close production orders.
- Generate Daily Inventory Reports
- Create Production Orders for semi-finished/Finished Products etc
- Material Requirement Planning (MRP): Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure raw materials and consumables are available just-in-time.
- Routing & Sequencing: Define the precise path and order of operations for each job to maximize floor efficiency.
2. Production Costing & Control
- Standard Cost Setting: Establish the standard cost for each production process, including direct labor, raw materials, and overheads.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct regular "Planned vs. Actual" cost comparisons to identify budget overruns in material usage or labor hours.
- BOM Management: Maintain and update the Bill of Materials (BOM) and routings to ensure costing accuracy.
- Waste & Rejection Tracking: Monitor production waste and rejections, calculating their financial impact and recommending cost-saving solutions.
- Process Profitability: Analyze the profit margins for individual products or production batches to advise on pricing and process improvements.
3. Inventory & Operations Management
- Inventory Optimization: Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages, reducing overall carrying costs.
- WIP Monitoring: Track Work-In-Progress (WIP) to ensure production stays on schedule and identify bottlenecks.
- MIS & Reporting: Generate management reports on plant performance, efficiency metrics (KPIs), and production cost forecasts.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Industrial Management, or Cost Accounting.
- Experience: 10 years in a manufacturing environment with exposure to both planning and cost analysis.
- Software Skills: High proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel for data modeling.
- Key Traits: Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail regarding financial data, and the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
