Job Summary
Harsha Institute of Pharmacy is seeking a qualified and dedicated Pharmacognosy faculty member to contribute to teaching, research, student mentoring, and academic development. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, guiding students, and supporting departmental activities in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy students in the field of Pharmacognosy.
- Prepare lesson plans, lecture materials, laboratory manuals, and assessment tools.
- Conduct practical classes and ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and records.
- Guide and mentor students in academic, research, and project activities.
- Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.
- Undertake research activities, publications, and grant proposals.
- Maintain student attendance, internal assessment records, and academic documentation.
- Organize seminars, workshops, industrial visits, and guest lectures.
- Participate in accreditation, inspection, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Contribute to departmental and institutional committees and administrative responsibilities.
- Support placement, admissions, and outreach activities of the institution.
Qualification Requirements
- B.Pharm and M.Pharm in Pharmacognosy from a recognized university.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in Pharmacognosy.
- Qualifications and experience should be as per PCI, AICTE, and applicable university norms.
Experience
- Freshers with excellent academic records may apply for Assistant Professor positions.
- Relevant teaching, research, or industry experience will be preferred.
- Experience in handling laboratory sessions, research projects, and academic administration is desirable.
Skills Required
- Strong subject knowledge in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Research aptitude and publication record.
- Ability to mentor and guide students.
- Good organizational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and academic documentation.
Salary
- As per institutional norms and candidate qualifications/experience.
Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
