Business Development Manager – Hospitality & Resort SalesJob Summary
The Whispering Woods is seeking a highly motivated and revenue-driven Business Development Manager to lead business growth, increase occupancy, maximize revenue, and establish strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in hospitality sales, corporate tie-ups, wedding and event bookings, OTA management, dynamic pricing, and revenue optimization.
This role requires a commercially focused professional who can identify new business opportunities, minimize revenue leakage, improve booking conversions, and implement effective sales and revenue management strategies to drive profitability across all business segments.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute business development strategies to maximize occupancy, revenue, and profitability.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through corporate partnerships, travel agents, event planners, wedding planners, and destination management companies.
- Generate business through direct sales, referrals, networking, and strategic partnerships.
- Build long-term relationships with corporate clients, travel companies, institutions, and event organizers.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Conduct sales meetings, property presentations, and site visits with prospective clients.
Revenue Management & Dynamic Pricing
- Develop and implement revenue management strategies to maximize room revenue and overall property profitability.
- Monitor occupancy trends, booking pace, competitor pricing, and market demand.
- Implement dynamic pricing strategies based on seasonality, demand patterns, events, and market conditions.
- Optimize Average Daily Rate (ADR), RevPAR, and occupancy levels.
- Recommend promotional offers, packages, and pricing strategies to increase revenue during low-demand periods.
- Analyze revenue performance and provide actionable recommendations to management.
OTA & Distribution Management
- Manage OTA platforms including Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, Airbnb, and other booking channels.
- Optimize property listings, content, pricing, and inventory allocation across all channels.
- Monitor OTA performance and improve visibility, conversion rates, and booking volumes.
- Ensure rate parity and effective distribution management.
- Develop strategies to increase direct bookings and reduce dependency on third-party platforms.
- Analyze channel performance and ROI across all booking sources.
Corporate Sales & Partnerships
- Develop corporate sales strategies to generate room nights, conferences, retreats, and offsite bookings.
- Establish relationships with HR departments, corporate travel teams, and procurement managers.
- Secure annual contracts and preferred vendor agreements with organizations.
- Create customized packages for corporate events, training programs, and team outings.
- Maintain regular client engagement and account management activities.
Wedding & Event Sales
- Generate wedding, social event, and celebration bookings.
- Build relationships with wedding planners, event management companies, decorators, and vendors.
- Conduct property tours and presentations for prospective clients.
- Develop wedding packages and event offerings to increase event revenue.
- Coordinate with operational teams to ensure successful event execution.
- Identify opportunities to maximize revenue through event-related upselling.
Revenue Leakage Prevention & Process Improvement
- Identify areas of revenue leakage and implement corrective controls.
- Monitor booking processes, billing practices, discount approvals, and revenue reporting.
- Ensure accurate recording of all bookings and transactions.
- Work closely with operations and finance teams to improve revenue accountability.
- Recommend operational improvements that contribute to increased profitability.
Sales Strategy & Market Expansion
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and market analysis.
- Identify emerging market trends and new customer segments.
- Develop promotional campaigns and business growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing teams on digital campaigns and lead generation activities.
- Explore opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and strategic alliances.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and revenue reports.
- Track key performance indicators including Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, Conversion Rate, Revenue Growth, and Corporate Account Acquisition.
- Present business development and revenue performance reports to management.
- Maintain CRM records and sales pipelines accurately.
Requirements
- 4–10 years of experience in Business Development, Hospitality Sales, Revenue Management, or Resort Sales.
- Proven experience in corporate sales, wedding sales, event bookings, and hospitality business development.
- Strong understanding of revenue management, dynamic pricing, OTA management, and hospitality distribution channels.
- Experience in generating business through corporate tie-ups and strategic partnerships.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and revenue data to make informed business decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Target-driven mindset with a proven track record of achieving revenue goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience working with resorts, hotels, hospitality groups, wedding venues, or event destinations.
- Familiarity with Channel Managers, PMS systems, OTA extranets, CRM software, and revenue management tools.
- Existing network of corporate clients, travel partners, and event planners will be an advantage.

Salary
As per industry standards, experience, and performance-based incentives.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
