Organization: Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage
The Project Architect is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring heritage conservation projects from inception to completion. The role involves liaising with government agencies, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders while ensuring that all conservation interventions adhere to established heritage conservation principles, technical standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the planning, execution, and monitoring of architectural conservation and heritage management projects.
- Prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), technical specifications, estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender documents, and project schedules.
- Conduct site inspections, condition assessments, architectural documentation, and conservation surveys of historic buildings and monuments.
- Coordinate with government departments, local authorities, consultants, contractors, and institutional stakeholders to facilitate project implementation.
- Monitor project progress, quality of workmanship, compliance with conservation methodologies, and adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
- Prepare project presentations, progress reports, technical notes, meeting minutes, and documentation for review by funding agencies and authorities.
- Supervise documentation including measured drawings, photographic records, material analysis, and conservation records.
- Assist in the preparation and evaluation of technical proposals, consultancy assignments, and project budgets.
- Coordinate procurement activities, contractor mobilization, and site logistics in accordance with project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant conservation guidelines, statutory regulations, and safety standards.
- Facilitate stakeholder consultations, workshops, awareness programmes, and capacity-building initiatives related to heritage conservation.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams comprising architects, structural engineers, conservators, historians, artisans, and specialists.
- Track project milestones, identify implementation challenges, and recommend corrective actions to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain correspondence with clients and government agencies and ensure proper record management throughout the project lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in conservation, restoration, adaptive reuse, museum, or heritage infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of national conservation guidelines, heritage legislation, and government procurement procedures is desirable.
Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
