Boiler Operator

Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and experienced Boiler Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain the boiler system used in our pet food manufacturing facility. The candidate will ensure the uninterrupted supply of steam for production while maintaining safety, efficiency, and compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the boiler and steam generation system safely and efficiently.
- Maintain the required steam pressure and temperature for production.
- Conduct routine inspections of boilers, pumps, valves, pipelines, and related equipment.
- Record boiler operating parameters, fuel consumption, water levels, and maintenance activities.
- Perform boiler blowdown, water treatment checks, and routine preventive maintenance.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance and Production departments to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and factory regulations.
- Maintain housekeeping in the boiler room.
- Comply with GMP, GHP, and food safety standards applicable to the pet food manufacturing industry.
Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Valid Boiler Operator/Boiler Attendant Certificate issued by the competent authority (as required by state regulations).
- 2–5 years of experience operating industrial boilers, preferably in the food or pet food manufacturing industry.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of boiler operation and maintenance.
- Understanding of steam systems, pumps, and water treatment.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Good record-keeping and communication skills.
- Ability to work in shifts.
