Test Engineer Responsibilities

Understanding the functionality and preparing detailed testing scenarios and test cases.

Understanding the overall functionalities of the product and coming up with the integration testing scenarios.

Setting up the required test data and carrying out the detailed testing and documentation of the test results.

Carrying out the functional and non-functional testing.

Troubleshooting any errors and streamlining the testing procedures.

Writing up the final QA and test procedures for the quality technicians.

Training the quality assurance staff and providing technical support when needed.

Ensuring all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards.

Preparing test reports.

Conduct performance testing to evaluate system response, reliability, and scalability.
Test Engineer Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Total 2-6 years of work experience.

Previous work experience of 2+ years as a test engineer in the e-commerce/ERP/SCM/Retail domain.

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques and tools.

Experience in creating and executing test cases, test plans and test scripts.

Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Exposure in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG).

Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in API Testing with tools like Postman.
-
ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
