Role description
Job Title: Senior Analyst – Client Onboarding & Event Management
The Senior Analyst will be responsible for managing the end-to-end onboarding, maintenance, and closure of mandates, portfolios, agreements, and related accounts across systems. The role involves extensive coordination with internal stakeholders and external parties such as brokers, custodians, and fund administrators. It requires strong operational expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage setup, amendment, and closure of external accounts and third-party entities
- Maintain custody, FX broker, clearing broker, prime broker, and administrator accounts
- Perform onboarding, maintenance, and due diligence of executing brokers
- Handle custody/market onboarding and ETD account setup with clearing brokers
- Upload and maintain KYC and mandate NAV data in CPM systems
- Respond to Level 1 KYC queries and monitor expiring documentation (e.g., tax docs, annual reports)
- Set up and maintain mandates, portfolios, and static data in Aladdin and related systems
- Manage portfolio closures, amendments, and data integrity
- Maintain portfolio groups and derivative agreements (e.g., ISDA/DeCo in Aladdin)
- Configure brokers, update fund manager details, and investment policies
- Implement compliance rules and trade reporting configurations
- Support fund launches, closures, and share class events
- Manage side pocket creation and redemption processes
- Coordinate shareholder communications
- Handle Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) creation and renewals
- Ensure adherence to operational controls and regulatory requirements
- Identify, escalate, and report material issues to management
- Maintain accurate operational records and documentation
- Support performance reporting and continuous process improvement
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of KYC/AML processes, regulatory documentation, and LEI requirements
- Hands-on experience with Aladdin (portfolio/mandate setup, static data, agreements)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for stakeholder management
- Ability to manage high volumes of work with competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Good understanding of operational risk and control frameworks
- Experience in onboarding, account setup, or investment operations
Good-to-Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with Counterparty Manager (CPM) or similar KYC/document management systems
- Knowledge of derivative agreements (e.g., ISDA, ETD setup)
- Familiarity with trade lifecycle / trade operations / trade settlement processes
- Experience working with custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators
- Understanding of portfolio compliance rules and trade reporting configurations
- Exposure to fund lifecycle events (launches, closures, corporate actions)
- Background in investment banking or asset management operations
- Process improvement or automation experience

Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field
- Relevant experience in onboarding, fund operations, or investment operations (typically 5 yo 7+ years for Senior Analyst level)
