We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Dance Teacher to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate dance lessons for primary school students. The ideal candidate should be creative, energetic, and able to inspire children through movement, music, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct structured, age-appropriate dance classes for primary school students.
- Teach basic dance techniques, movements, rhythm, coordination, and expressions.
- Introduce students to different dance forms and styles.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, discipline, and teamwork through dance.
- Prepare students for school events, annual functions, assemblies, competitions, and special celebrations.
- Create engaging choreography suited to students’ age and abilities.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor students’ participation and progress and provide appropriate guidance.
- Collaborate with teachers and the school team for performances and activities.
- Ensure students follow proper warm-up, cool-down, and safety practices.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma/Certification in Dance or a related field.
- Prior experience teaching dance to primary school children will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of Indian and/or Western dance forms.
- Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
- Energetic, creative, patient, and comfortable working with young children.
- Ability to choreograph and prepare group performances.
Experience: 2–5 years preferred.
