Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – MEP

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor – MEP to manage the commercial and quantity surveying activities for MEP works. The role will be responsible for quantity take-offs, cost estimation, tender evaluation, subcontractor management, measurement, variation assessment, interim valuations, and final accounts.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction contracts, cost control, and commercial management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for MEP works, including:
HVAC and ventilation systems
Electrical systems
Plumbing and drainage
Fire fighting and fire alarm systems
ELV systems
BMS and other specialist MEP systems
Review drawings, specifications, scope of work, and contract documents.
Prepare cost estimates and budgets for MEP packages.
Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Prepare tender comparisons and commercial evaluations.
Measure completed MEP works and prepare interim payment applications/certificates.
Review subcontractor bills, invoices, and supporting documents.
Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify cost deviations.
Evaluate variations, change orders, claims, and additional works.
Prepare variation quotations and maintain variation logs.
Assist in contract administration and commercial negotiations.
Prepare monthly cost reports and cash-flow forecasts.
Maintain accurate records of measurements, quantities, costs, and commitments.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, procurement teams, and subcontractors.
Assist with preparation and settlement of subcontractor and supplier final accounts.
Identify potential commercial risks and recommend cost-saving measures.
Ensure commercial activities are carried out in accordance with contract requirements and company procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certification in Quantity Surveying or Contracts Management is an advantage.
3–8 years of relevant experience in MEP quantity surveying/commercial management.
Experience in building construction, infrastructure, or MEP contracting is preferred.
