About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and student-focused Psychology Teacher to join our Cambridge curriculum team. The ideal candidate will inspire learners through engaging instruction, foster critical thinking, and support academic excellence in IGCSE and AS/A Level Psychology.
The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the Cambridge International curriculum while creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Psychology to Senior Secondary students under the Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, assessments, and learning resources aligned with Cambridge standards.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations with strong academic outcomes.
- Use varied instructional strategies to promote inquiry, critical thinking, and application-based learning.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely academic feedback and interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student performance.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching practices into classroom instruction.
- Participate in curriculum planning, staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student growth and wellbeing.
- Uphold school policies, safeguarding standards, and professional ethics.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s Degree in Psychology (mandatory).
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum schools.
- Experience teaching Psychology at IGCSE and AS/A Level preferred.
- Strong understanding of Cambridge assessment patterns and learner outcomes.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning tools.
