Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Multi-Cuisine Cook specializing in South Indian & Indo-Chinese cuisine to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in authentic recipe preparation, bulk cooking, and maintaining consistent taste and quality during high-volume service.
Key Responsibilities:
South Indian Cuisine:
Prepare breakfast items: idli, dosa, uttapam, vada, pongal, upma with assorted chutneys & sambar
Cook main course: sambar, rasam, kootu, poriyal, avial, and variety rice – lemon, tamarind, curd, tomatoHandle thali/meal service and batter preparation for tiffin itemsEnsure traditional taste and presentation standards
Indo-Chinese Cuisine: Prepare veg/non-veg starters: Manchurian, chilli paneer/chicken, crispy corn, spring rolls
Cook main course: fried rice, Hakka/Schezwan noodles, gravies, and soups Maintain balance of authentic Chinese flavors adapted to Indian palate
Manage sauce prep and stock for Chinese counter
General Kitchen Duties: Follow standard recipes and portion control for cost efficiency Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and FSSAI compliance Manage ingredient prep, mise-en-place, and inventory control Coordinate with team during peak hours and banquet orders Ensure minimal food wastage and proper storage practices Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance needs
Requirements:
Minimum 3-4 years proven experience in South Indian & Chinese cookingAbility to handle à la carte and bulk orders for 50-200+ pax
Knowledge of tandoor/basic Indian gravies is an added advantageSpeed, accuracy, and consistency under pressure
Punctual, disciplined, team player with good communicationValid health certificate/Food handler’s card preferred
